Linux System administration team currently consist of 11 members and supporting mission critical eCommerce platform (Prod and all Non-Prod env’s).

As Brno infrastructure team is expanding its responsibility to take new ownership for the infrastructure services for Non-Prod environments across all company’s platforms we are just extending our senior team to offer an opportunity for skilled people to bring their experience to work.

What will be your main responsibilities?

  • Linux System Administration support and service
  • Involvement within IT Infra projects – Linux Sys. Adm. part
  • Delivery of IT Infra Service Improvement programme
  • Delivery of IT Infra Technology roadmap – Linux Sys. Adm. part
  • Delivery of support in line with SLA and Service quality metrics for Linux Sys. Adm. team
  • Possible to keep our 24/7 on-call rota

What can you achieve in our team?

  • You will be part of senior Linux Administration team
  • You will get experience with managing of large-scale production environment/high traffic website (ideally a transactional retail website)
  • You will be a part of innovation group bringing new technologies (Cloud based infra service, Containers – Docker Swarm, Saltstack/Puppet, Graylog, Grafana, etc.) in place

Now you’re probably wondering what we expect from you?

  • Advanced experience of managing IT systems based on Linux, web servers – installing, maintaining and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of some scripting language (Bash, Python, Ruby)
  • Knowledge of web based architecture and technologies (Load-balancing, reverse proxy, caching, HTTP servers)
  • Good working experience with virtualisation platforms (e.g. VMware)

Optional preferred skills:

  • Experience with configuration management platforms (e.g. Puppet)
  • Experience with cloud technologies (e.g. OpenStack, IBM cloud computing, SoftLayer)
  • Experience with maintain of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket)
  • Knowledge of server and application monitoring systems (e.g. Nagios/Neamon, AppDynamics, Grafana)
