The role’s primary purpose is to support the activities of the UK&I Risk & Control team, in particular with regards to assessing compliance with Group Minimum Controls, reporting & analytics, tracking progress with control improvement plans and internal audit actions, and keeping Business Continuity planning documentation up to date.

What will be your responsibility?

  • Run the financial processes including month end, balance sheet, P&L and cash inputs for Supply chain areas
  • Processing the month end in a timely and accurate manner
  • Understanding and reconciling the related balance sheet accounts
  • Ensure accounting treatments are in line with relevant accounting standards and minimum control standards
  • Own the accounting for complex areas and areas of judgement including bonus accruals
  • Communicate clearly to other areas of finance and the business
  • Deliver process improvement to standardise processes across the brands and the various areas
  • Identify risks and opportunities and mitigate where required
  • Creatively drive value through identification of accounting opportunities
  • Budgeting and Forecasting – support these key processes as required in particular through provision of actual costs and balances with insights into key drivers and movements
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain Finance team and other financial control teams to ensure the operations are efficient and financial results well controlled
